Imagine an undercover Indian spy, blood-soaked and unstoppable, diving deeper into the heart of darkness to settle a score that shook the nation. That’s the promise of Dhurandhar: The Revenge – and now the explosive trailer is just days away!
In a big update that’s got Bollywood fans on edge, the makers have locked March 3, 2026 as the official release date for the Dhurandhar 2 trailer. This comes earlier than the earlier buzz around March 5 or March 8, reportedly to avoid clashing with key ICC T20 World Cup matches and grab maximum eyeballs.
The first film was a monster hit in 2025, raking in over ₹1,300 crore worldwide and proving that high-stakes espionage and raw revenge still rule the box office. Directed by Aditya Dhar (the man behind the acclaimed Uri: The Surgical Strike), the sequel takes Ranveer Singh‘s character – the fierce undercover agent Hamza Ali Mazari – into even deadlier territory across Pakistan’s criminal and political underworld, all tied to avenging the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
Insiders are already calling it massive: the trailer is said to clock over four minutes, loaded with high-octane action, jaw-dropping sequences, and Ranveer in full beast mode. Early praise is pouring in too – Yami Gautam (Aditya Dhar’s wife) watched it and called the film “beyond extraordinary“, an experience “people will never forget”. Even filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma described the sequel as an “asteroid” ready to shake up Indian action cinema with its gritty, realistic edge.
The star cast is stacked once again: Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and more are back or joining the intense ride. Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, this is billed as the powerful final chapter in the duology.
The film hits theatres on March 19, 2026 – perfectly timed for festivals like Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi. It’ll release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam for a true pan-India blast. Pre-bookings are live in markets like Australia and France, with a runtime around 3 hours 20 minutes (final edits ongoing).
Of course, there’s competition – it clashes with Yash‘s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups – but that only adds fuel to the hype.
Minor reports about civic issues with one production house surfaced, but they aren’t expected to derail anything. With spies, high-risk missions, an India-Pakistan backdrop, and Ranveer Singh unleashing pure intensity, this trailer is set to “shake the internet” and raise the bar for spy thrillers.
Mark your calendars – March 3 could be the day Bollywood action gets redefined. Stay tuned!
